When are you going to show up? When are you going to face the potential in you? When are you going to step up and say “Hey, I made this”.
It’s not going to be easy. It’ll be scary and on several occasions you’ll be asking yourself why you’re doing this. But it’ll be worth it, because you’ll have built something worthwhile. Something meaningful. Something that you can be proud of.
We keep ourselves busy with mundane tasks. Checking off things on our to do list. Try replacing some of those tasks with something that you really want to do. Something that you’ve been putting off for way too long. Justifying your inaction with that there’s no time. Take control, make the time.
If you want to write a novel, just start. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Don’t wait for divine inspiration. Just start. Write a first shitty draft and take it from there.
All of us have the capabilities to exceed our own expectations. We just have to open our eyes to the possibilities around us and dare to take the leap. Yes, you might fall. Yes, it might hurt. But you’ll come out on the other side a better, wiser and richer person. Richer in the sense that you’ll have gained more wisdom and experience, not necessarily money.
Showing up is hard. What if I’m rejected? What if I’m not good enough? What if no one thinks my work is any good?
It’s always going to be difficult. You just have to face those fears head on and not let anything or anyone stop you. Least of all yourself.
You can do it, you just got to show up.
